Welcome to Recovery.gov Recovery.gov is a website that lets you, the taxpayer, figure out where the money from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act is going. There are going to be a few different ways to search for information. The money is being distributed by Federal agencies, and soon you'll be able to see where it's going -- to which states, to which congressional districts, even to which Federal contractors. As soon as we are able to, we'll display that information visually in maps, charts, and graphics.
OH BOY!!!! ME LIKEY CHARTS AND GRAPHS....OKAY FOLKS THE WORLD IS SAFE WE HAVE MOTHER #$!*IN CHARTS AND GRAPHS recovery.gov
Let's US figure out where the money is going???!!!!! You don't know?? I want YOU to tell me where YOU SENT IT! Don't you KNOW????!!!
"As soon as we are able to, we'll display that information" - Don't you mean, as soon as YOU FIGURE OUT WHERE THE BILL SENT IT, you'll be able to display it???!!!
This is EXACTLY what they should have posted and let everyone view it BEFORE it was voted on. Looks good but... just stinks.
From the FAQ:
Q: I heard I'd be able to track recovery funds. Why can't I do that? A: You aren't able to track funds yet because we have not yet started receiving information from Federal agencies on how they are going to allocate the money. It takes a little bit of time for them to make sure your money is going to be spent wisely. Right now, the site features an overview of the law and an explanation of what it is intended to accomplish. You will have access to data as soon as we begin receiving it from agencies.
Bunk! Isn't that what APPROPRIATIONS are for? We have to wait for the Federal Agencies to start spending it before we can start tracking it? Ummm... what about planning for the efficient use of OUR money?..............
Sorry, one more thing and I'll quit talking to myself...
This is just FUNNY... why am I laughing?? I guess it's just because I don't feel like crying at the moment... I must be delirious because I seriously LAUGHED OUT LOUD when I saw that website. Sad... and we PAY them to do this stuff.
